Around The World in Arty Days

Linking to the primary topic of journeys, children at the Brompton have started an exciting adventure of 'Around The World in Arty Days'. Each week we will learn about an artist or art style from a different country.

This week we started our adventure in Australia learning about Aborignal art. The children learnt about how this style of art is created as well as finding out it is over 30,000 years old. Two students worked hard to create their own piece of aboriginal art, exploring how to make different sized dots with cotton buds, chopsticks and the end of a paintbrush. The finished pieces of art look great!

I wonder where we will travel to next week?
