Christmas Party at Chelsea Community College

On Wednesday, students at CCC prepared a Christmas lunch. We started the day by writing a list of what we needed to buy before making a group trip to the supermarket. The students worked together to find everything on the shopping list - including Bingo crackers and Santa napkins! Before reaching the checkouts, we even had a go at estimating the cost of the shop and thanks to our savvy shoppers, we got some great deals!

We then started the Christmas lunch preparation. The students worked hard to peel and prep what seemed like an endless supply of vegetables for over 15 people before we juggled the timings of the many different Christmas lunch components. We were pleased to serve our lunch marginally later than planned in true Christmas Day style!  A, known as the 'Queen of Brownies' made a batch of chocolate brownies which are always a hit with students and staff! Students laid the table, and we enjoyed a meal together before finishing the day with a Christmas-themed Quiz. It was a really lovely afternoon.

Staff at CCC wish their students a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
