In celebration of Recycle week back in September, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea hosted a sustainable travel bottle cap art competition for schools. The winning entries including 3D shoes and an arrow titled 'A Step in the Right Direction' by children from CCHS Brompton site are now on display in the Sydney Wing coffee shop for the next two weeks. Congratulations to all involved!
Daniel researched Henri Rousseau and made a fabulous book about the artist.
Kelsi has been exploring Pop Art in her art lessons and created this wonderful artwork called Popcorn.
Shaun, our artist in residence worked with students at the hospital school, the paediatric psychology team and the RBHT arts team to make origami paper flowers to raise awareness of Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) at Royal Brompton Hospital.
The flowers were displayed on a tree in the main reception area at Royal Brompton hospital.
Congratulations to Billy who designed this Road Safety poster which has been chosen to be included in next year's Road Safety/Active Travel Calendar competition. Well done Billy!
Kamili used paint and collage to create his beautiful tree, after looking at lots of pictures to help make decisions about it. He agreed with senior teacher Marie that it looked as if it is moving in the wind.
Luke (9) took part in Discover Arts Award which he has now completed and passed –well done! Luke said, ‘I enjoyed the colouring and making the t-shirt.’ When asked what he thought of his completed folder, he said; ‘really good’. He said that he found out that; ‘The Arts can be anything; music words, art, books, ICT...’ Congratulations Luke!
