Recycled Bottle Cap Art Exhibition at Royal Brompton Hospital

In celebration of Recycle week back in September, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea hosted a sustainable travel bottle cap art competition for schools. The winning entries including 3D shoes and an arrow titled 'A Step in the Right Direction' by children from CCHS Brompton site are now on display in the Sydney Wing coffee shop for the next two weeks. Congratulations to all involved!

Origami flowers for MHAW

Shaun, our artist in residence worked with students at the hospital school, the paediatric psychology team and the RBHT arts team to make origami paper flowers to raise awareness of Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) at Royal Brompton Hospital.

 The flowers were  displayed on a tree in the main reception area at Royal Brompton hospital.

Luke made a great T-Shirt

Luke (9) took part in Discover Arts Award which he has now completed and passed –well done! Luke said, ‘I enjoyed the colouring and making the t-shirt.’ When asked what he thought of his completed folder, he said; ‘really good’. He said that he found out that; ‘The Arts can be anything; music words, art, books, ICT...’ Congratulations Luke!

The Sand Lizard

sandlizard1SMLJason, age 10 felt very strongly that the sand lizard was the most endangered creature in the UK. He has written some text and made a model of a sand lizard using papier-mâché to inform us that these creatures must be protected.
