Students at the Brompton Hospital have been learning about mental health this week. For the festival week as part of the Great British CCHS Bake Off at the Brompton, we decided to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Day by making a yellow themed Victoria Sandwich cake with lemon curd and yellow cream #Helloyellow #Happycake #GBBO
This week Daniel, Jack and Woon took part in the Great British CCHS Bake Off at the Brompton. The theme was dessert week! Taking inspiration from the Great British Bake Off, the students also made meringues! The students used their meringues to make their own versions of Eton messes. Excellent effort by all! Well done student bakers!

Students at CCHS Brompton will be recreating recipes following the Great British Bake Off theme. This week is biscuit week and three Year 7 and 8 students at the Brompton took part in a baking challenge and made raisin and ginger biscuits. All the students worked incredibly well and their biscuits smelt and tasted fabulous
On Shrove Tuesday, students at the Brompton made cinnamon pancakes topped with banana and syrup and chocolate pancakes topped with marshmallows and chocolate chips.
This Thursday, we enjoyed at visit from the Science Museum and Static Steve. Museum Magic: The Science Museum taught us about friction and gravity. Just how do you get 3 balanced balls to fall in 3 cups when perched on poles? Answer - give the cardboard a shove and gravity pulls the balls down.
