Please sponsor our intrepid music teacher, Martin, who will be running in the London Marathon on April 23rd, his first ever marathon(!) to help raise money for FCCHS, our school charity.
Eight weeks to go and my weekly distance is increasing up to 50k, but this is mostly about the long run. This week was the my longest yet, 24km, and my first time over half marathon distance. On Saturday I joined the running group Midnight Runners on their Freedom Run for Ukraine. A chilly start on Parliament Square, but after the photos we soon warmed up, running through the parks and on up to Primrose Hill. Then back along the canals and finished by the statue of St Volodmyr at Holland Park. I still had 6km to go so I zigzagged back down to the tube at Sloane Square. So far so good!
