The Portland Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic

Chelsea Community Hospital School has extended their provision to include children at The Portland Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic. Children at these hospitals can now access the full range of teaching provision offered by our teachers, minimising the disruption that ill health has on these children’s schooling and academic progress.

Our colleague from Vienna's experience of job-shadowing

elke2

From 15th to 16th June 2017 I had the chance to do a short job-shadowing at Chelsea Community Hospital School.

As a hospital school teacher in Vienna and programme manager of the 10th HOPE (Hospital School Organization of Pedagogues in Europe) Congress in Vienna in May 2016, I’ve dreamed of visiting my British colleagues and participating in their lessons and meetings. Thanks to the open-mindedness of both the teachers and the students I had the chance to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere at two of their hospital school sites.

Thank you Olivia!

Olivia thankyou small

All of us at Chelsea Community Hospital School would like to thank Olivia for her kind and generous donation. Olivia decided for her birthday this year that rather than receive presents she would prefer donations to be made to the Hospital School. We were all so impressed by such a selfless act and aim for the money to be used to produce a book of children's writing from across the school. Thank you again Olivia!

Thank You!

all

A huge thank you to every one of you who supported our first ‘SuperHero FunRun’. Firstly to all our generous sponsors – your donations will make a big difference to the lives of children in hospital. Thank you to our wonderful team of runners which included students, teachers, nurses, friends and family. A special mention goes to Haile who raised £242, Robin who raised £410, Nigel from Purple Mash who raised over £200 and all our students who together raised £880! We will post the total once we've added it all up. Have a look at the photos below, and if you wish you can still sponsor our students here.
