Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils. However Pupil Premium for the Hospital School does not reflect the number of children with free school meals, as only the children on permanent role with us and no other school are counted.

Every child at the Hospital School is seen as an individual and has a personal education plan – this additional money received goes towards providing Learning Mentors who support all children who have free school meals or additional needs. For other young people this also provides individual access to guitar lessons, art therapy and additional drama sessions.

Pupil Premium breakdown:

2012/13 - £11,214
2013/14 - £15,300
2014/15 - £41,140
2015/16 - £41,140
2016/17 - £25,245
2017/18 - £14,492

The Pupil Premium therefore only provides 6 % - 8% of the additional support we provide our students.
The additional funds required to provide this support come via our charitable fundraising, details here.
