Students had a great day out at the Olympic Park. They slid the slide at the ArcelorMittal Orbit and went on to tackle the mountain bike trails.
Students made these wonderful origami puppets during the Easter holiday programme.
Students visited Postman’s Park to engage in an interactive talk given by renowned social and cultural historian Dr. John Price at the Watts Memorial. The students learned the story of how George Frederic Watts created the Memorial to Heroic Self Sacrifice.
Students made ‘I love books’ t-shirts and wrote theirr favourite quotes on the back. One pupil wrote a quote from Northern Lights by Philip Pullman: ‘The evening sky was awash with peach, apricot, cream: tender little ice cream clouds in a wide orange sky.’
For our World Book Day celebrations Snow White, Harry Potter and Leona the Unicorn Fairy visited children on the ward for interactive story time sessions. Each child was given a book to take home along with an arts and crafts session.
Maya made this powerful graphic reminding us to 'treasure our trees'.
We had a lovely time with our students at the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime celebrating the festive season. Oh yes we did!
